From Maritime to Littoral: A love letter from the sea to the shore

With assurance, I spray my salt to you. As my waves lift into the air, the foam splashes toward you, glittering in the sunlight which illuminates you in both summer and winter. The footsteps that adorn your undulations are artful in their spontaneity, and your stability under my ebb and flow forms my equilibrium.

With assurance, I contract and expand for you. For only you, I am forever expansive. I bring to you gifts that are physicality’s of my adoration. Although small, the twisted shells cast away by their inhabitants, leathery weeds from my floor, smoothed stones, I bring these to you as a crow hoards anything shiny for his companion.

With assurance, my dear, to the Moon, I am ever-grateful that he pulls me to you. At nighttime under his shining guidance, and daytime equally with his tug, in perpetuity. Within his cycle, from new to full he never faulters, a reliance I cherish as whenever I ebb from you, I trust that his weathered face will allow me to flow to you once more. I trust in his power and through my absence I shall always grow fonder to you, my shore.
